BEIJING, May 2 (Xinhua) -- An international economic and trade fair will be held in the city of Langfang in north China's Hebei Province on May 18, according to the provincial government.

Initiated in 2000, The China (Langfang) International Economic and Trade Fair aims to boost opening up and promote economic cooperation.

A total of 26 activities will be held during the fair, which will focus on airport economy, international cooperation, regional collaboration, innovative development and county-level specialty industries.

Langfang is close to the Beijing Daxing International Airport, which will be put into use before Sept. 30.
