BEIJING, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- The upcoming Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) will mark a key fresh start and bring a leap in China-Africa ties, according to Sudanese Ambassador to China Ahmed Shawer.

Leaders of China and African countries will definitely adopt a comprehensive resolution based on consensus, Shawer said in an exclusive interview with Xinhua.

He confirmed that Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir will lead a high-level delegation to the Beijing Summit and Sudan will work with China to ensure a success of the summit.

Shawer suggested that a strengthened China-Africa community of shared future would contribute to the cause of the China-proposed vision of "building a community with a shared future for humanity."

With huge population and abundant resources, "China-Africa cooperation will have a considerable influence on the overall development of human beings," said Shawer.

He stressed that in contrast with protectionism practiced by some countries at the moment, China's reform and opening-up policy has brought the country economic prosperity and social progress.

Therefore, Chinese experiences in promoting reform and opening-up are valuable not only to developing countries but also to the whole world, said Shawer.

"African countries will benefit most from the transfer of China's technology in boosting economy," he said.

Shawer spoke highly of the Belt and Road Initiative, identifying it as a wise, inclusive, and mutually beneficial plan in the interests of all mankind.

It will complement the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the development plans of individual countries, which will lead to its success, said Shawer.

Based on the friendship and shared interests between China and Africa, Sudan and other African countries will be China's partners in promoting the Belt and Road Initiative, he added.

While recalling the steady development of China-Africa ties in the past, Shawer stressed that China's foreign policy is not associated with hegemony or colonialism, but based on mutual benefit, win-win cooperation, mutual respect and mutual understanding.

To demonstrate that, "the Sudan-China relationship is the best example," said Shawer.
