DUBAI, June 17 (Xinhua) -- Dubai FDI, the investment development agency of Dubai Economy, will send an economic delegation to Australia to boost cooperation and attract investments, United Arab Emirates (UAE) state news agency WAM reported on Sunday.

The mission will take place from June 25 to 29 this year, and be participated by representatives including senior officials and executives from Dubai authorities and companies, said the report.

Since 2013, the UAE's international carrier Emirates Airline has cooperated with Australia's biggest airliner Qantas in a strategic alliance, and both sides agreed in March this year to extend the partnership until 2023.

This Dubai FDI group will conduct meetings with public and private entities in Sydney and Melbourne in order to highlight the advantages of investing in Dubai's key sectors, said the report.

The UAE and Australia enjoy more than 30 years of economic trade relations in areas such as automotive, minerals, oil and gas, grains, and meat and livestock.

The strong partnership extends to more than 25,000 Australians who live in the country, said the report.

The UAE is also considered as Australia's largest trading partner in the Middle East, with non-oil trade valued at 10 billion dirham (2.72 billion U.S. dollar) and about 350 Australian firms operating robust businesses in the country.
