ATHENS, June 15 (Xinhua) -- A Greek far-right MP was under judicial investigation for high treason on Friday after urging for a military coup d'etat over the Macedonia name draft agreement, Greek national news agency AMNA reported.

Konstantinos Barbaroussis called on the military to arrest the president, prime minister and defense minister "for treason", while speaking inside the Greek parliament during a debate on the censure motion filed by the main opposition party against the government over the name deal reached on Tuesday.

"We will have your heads in Prespes," he said according to AMNA referring to the lake on the borderline between Greece and Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), where the agreement will be signed this Sunday, as the Greek government announced on Friday.

Following the incident, the assembly unanimously agreed to deprive all deputies of the Golden Dawn (Chryssi Avghi) party of the right to speak until the vote on the motion on Sunday under parliamentary regulations.

With a letter to the Parliament Speaker Nikos Voutsis, Golden Dawn head Nikos Michaloliakos said that Barbaroussis' statements were not in line with the party's stance and the deputy was expelled from the party's parliamentary group.

In a statement later, Barbaroussis spoke of a misunderstanding, assuring that he respects the constitutional order.

However, the Supreme Court prosecutor ordered an investigation into his speech in parliament for high treason, according to AMNA.

Defense Minister Panos Kammenos and Deputy Defense Minister Fotis Kouvelis formally filed a lawsuit against Barbaroussis at the Supreme Court.

"We will not allow anyone to question the respect of democratic principles within the armed forces," Kammenos said according to an e-mailed press release.

The historic deal the governments of Athens and Skopje clinched to end a three decades row over the use of the term Macedonia has caused strong reactions by hardliners in both countries.
